Jan Ward is a Mechanical Engineer with over 30 years experience in the metals industry, specialising in metallurgy in high alloy metals for the oil, gas, power and petrochemical sector and founder of Corrotherm Ltd.
A graduate of the Institute of Export in 1984, Jan has worked for several producers and distributors in the US, Europe and Middle East, carrying out several projects to establish establishing companies in these markets.
In 1992 Jan founded Corrotherm International Ltd a company that specialises in supplying high alloys to niche markets in Middle East and Africa. Have offices in UK , Iran ,UAE, South Africa, Libya and Saudi Arabia.
Other appointments include:
- Member of the Saudi British Joint Business Council a government to government council for trade promotion between the the two Kingdoms. UK side chaired by Baroness Symonds of Vernham Dean.
- Chair of the SMW taskforce - sub committee of SBJBC.
- Vice President of Southampton and Fareham Chamber of Commerce. Also Director for International Trade.
- Director, Women in Business International, aims to bring women in UK together with women in business in the Middle East.
- Jan writes for various international trade magazines and engineering publications.
- Member of the Institute of Directors since 1994.
- Fellow of the The RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce).
